In 1961, Vince Lombardi led a stacked Green Bay Packers squad to a dominating performance in the NFL Championship Game. The 11-3 Packers, led by a barrage of Hall of Famers from Bart Starr to Paul Hornung and Jim Taylor, sent the New York Giants home the losers by a score of 37-0. The former Notre Dame star Hornung opened the scoring with a rushing touchdown before a pair of Bart Starr touchdown passes found Ron Kramer and Boyd Dowling to make the score 21-0 in the second quarter. Hornung added three field goals, and Kramer received a second touchdown reception to seal the final scoreline. This was Vince Lombardi’s first NFL title as a head coach after winning the 1956 NFL title as a member of the Giants coaching staff. Offered in this lot is a full ticket to the 1961 NFL Championship Game. The ticket has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (40453119).
