Presented is a 60-coin complete set of 1962/63 Shirriff 'Coins". These 1 1/2" diameter coins feature players from the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs. The four American teams in the NHL were not included in this set except where they appeared as All-Stars or Trophy winners. Highlights include: #'s 1 Bower (EX/MT), 3 Mahovlich (VG/EX), 4 Horton (EX/MT), 9 Kelly (NM), 16 Keon (NM), 25 Plante (NM+), 32 Beliveau (EX), 34 Geoffrion (VG/EX), 41 Richard (EX/MT), 43 Plante AS (EX/MT), 46 Mikita AS (EX), 47 Hull AS (NM), 48 Bathgate AS (EX), 49 Hall AS (EX/MT), 50 Pilote (NM), 52 Keon AS (VG/EX), 53 Mahovlich (EX/MT), 54 Howe (EX), 55 Keon (VG/EX), 57 Hull (EX), 58 Plante (VG/EX), 59 Plante (EX/MT) and 60 Harvey (VG/EX). The majority of the coins grade EX to NM with the balance lesser mostly due to wear at the highest points of the coins.
