Former pitcher Dick LeMay wore this home flannel San Francisco Giants jersey during the 1962 season in which the Giants won the National League pennant with a 103 and 62 record. The Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers finished the season with identical 101-61 records, which necessitated a best-of-three series to determine the winner of the National League. After splitting the first two games of the series, the Giants defeated Los Angeles at Dodgers Stadium 6-4 to win the pennant for the first time since moving to San Francisco.
This offered size 42 Wilson jersey features “GIANTS” sewn on across the chest of this button-down jersey in black and orange tackle twill. The Wilson tag is sewn on base of the front left tail, along with a “1962” patch. The interior collar has “Dick Lemay” embroidered in black on a white patch. The collar and sleeves are bordered with black/orange/black chenille stitching. LeMay’s number “39” is sewn on in black and orange tackle twill on the back of the jersey. This jersey displays light game use and comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication.
