Muhammad Ali has signed the cover of this Sports Illustrated magazine issue from June 10th, 1963. Eight days later, on June 18th, Ali fought British champion Harry Cooper at Wembley Stadium. Ali, then undefeated and going by his birth name of “Cassius Clay”, scored a fifth round TKO of Cooper to improve his record to 19-0. Ali’s very next fight was his legendary brawl with Sonny Liston in Ali-Liston I. Ali has signed the cover of this magazine in black marker. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A89894).
