Presented here is a miniature red wagon driven by oxen originally presented as a gift to the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. The gift was given to President Kennedy in March of 1963, during his goodwill trip to Costa Rica. According to the LOA accompanying this gift, it was presented to Kennedy by a tico boy who lived near the American Embassy in Costa Rica. This small wagon is intricately painted with an exotic pattern, and it is driven by two small brown wooden oxen. It measures approximately eight inches long and stands three and a half inches tall. This item comes with a LOA signed by Evelyn Lincoln, President Kennedy’s former personal secretary.
