Presented here is a 1963 Los Angeles Angels game used jersey worn by Ryne Duren during spring training. Duren, who the Philadelphia Phillies purchased on March 14, 1963, briefly wore this jersey before he departed to Philadelphia during spring training. The presented white seven-button jersey features “ANGELS” displayed across the chest in red-on-navy tackle twill. Red and navy stripes line the sleeves and collar. A Spalding manufacturer’s tag is attached to the inside collar. A “WASH IN LUKEWARM WATER WITH MILD SOPA DRY SLOWLY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE” tag with a “SET 1 1963” flag is located on the jersey. “DUREN 48 63” is embroidered on the jersey in green fabric and is located on the front left tail. “CAMPBELL” in faded black marker written by an unknown hand appears on the left front tail. The number “30” appears on the back of the jersey in red-on-navy tackle twill. The jersey displays great game use and contains a large brown stain on the rear left sleeve and a large stain located within the number “3” on the back of the jersey. A small brown stain is located on the left shoulder. The game used Los Angeles Angels spring training jersey worn by Ryne Duren during the 1963 spring training for the Los Angeles Angels comes with an LOA from noted game used baseball jersey expert William Henderson for the game use.
