Presented here is a Wilson football signed by 39 plus members of the 1963 World Champion Chicago Bears. The Bears finished the season with a 11-1-2 record and won the Western Conference for the first time since 1956. The Bears faced off against the New York Giants at Wrigley Field for the World Championship on December 29th, 1963. The Chicago Bears brought to the game one of the NFL’s most formidable defenses that picked off 36 passes allowing just 10.3 points and 227 yards per game. The World Championship game saw the Giants commit 5 turnovers against the unrelenting Bears defense that stifled the Giants in temperatures that dipped below 10 degrees. The Bears would emerge victorious, besting the Giants 14-10.

This presented Wilson football signed by 39 members of the 1963 Chicago Bears team features “WILSON” imprinted in black on the front panel of the leather football. “CHICAGO BEARS 1963 WORLD CHAMPIONS” is imprinted in black on the opposite panel. There are 39 signatures on this football in various colors of ink, with key signatures from Hall of Famers George Halas, George Allen, Stan Jones, Mike Ditka, Doug Atkins, and Bill George. Other key signatures include those of Bill Wade, Ronnie Bull, Joe Marconi, Rick Casares, Rosey Taylor, and Roger LeClerc. The signatures contain elements of fading on this toned football, and the laces are a shade of brown. The 1963 World Champion Chicago Bears team signed football comes with an LOA from JSA (X56562) for the signatures.
