The fight against Sonny Liston in 1964 was where the fighter then known as Cassius Clay announced himself to the world. Clay, later Muhammad Ali, beat the former champion so badly that he was unable to come out of his corner to start the seventh round. Feeding off of the momentum of that fight, Ali embarked on one of the greatest boxing careers ever, while Liston toiled in ignominy for several years until his untimely death. This ticket stub is green, and is for a ringside seat worth $100 in 1964. Pictures of Clay and Liston are featured on the ticket stub. It is in very good condition.
