Still among the worst baseball trades of all-time, outfielder Lou Brock was traded by the Chicago Cubs to the St. Louis Cardinals for pitchers Ernie Brogolio, Bobby Shantz and Doug Clemens in the middle of the 1964 season. Sometime shortly thereafter Brock began to establish himself as one of the game’s greatest players and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1985.

Brock swung this Hillerich & Bradsby K75 pro model some time during his first few years in St. Louis. The bat shows evidence of excellent use and is un-cracked. There is slight checking from repeated ball contact on the back barrel and there are several ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat imprints. Other markings present include black and red bat rack streaks. “K75”, the model number of the bat has been stamped onto the knob and also on the knob is Brock’s number “20” that has been hand written in black marker. Brock signed his name in b black marker on the barrel. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (C86374) and has been graded a GU 8 for the game use and a COA from JSA (S85865) for the his signature.
