Measuring 12 x 15 inches, this award was presented to long time Baltimore Colts running back Tom Matte for his tremendous 1965 season where, due to injuries to both Colts quarterback’s, Matte played quarterback at the end of the season including the Colts playoff game. The plaque states, “Minneapolis-St. Paul Minute Men’s PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD Presented to TOM MATTE for his outstanding performance during the 1965 National Football League Season.” Signed on the reverse “Tom Matte Baltimore Colts 1961-1972 #41”, this award is in excellent overall condition and comes with a LOA from Tom Matte.
