Former infielder George Scott used this Hillerich & Bradsby K55 model bat during his first three seasons in the Majors from 1966 through 1968 with the Boston Red Sox. Scott was a key contributor on the 1967 “Impossible Dream” team that went from ninth place in 1966 to winning the American League pennant and pushing the might St. Louis Cardinals to seven games in the 1967 World Series. This offered bat displays excellent game use and has a crack in the handle that has been secured by tape. There are ball marks and slight checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. Scott’s number “5” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and the model number “K55” is stamped on the knob. A great early-career gamer from “Boomer” and it comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12909) for the game use.
