Graded NM-MT+ 8.5 by BVG. Hall of Famer, in his debut-year appearance. Among a total of more than 225 copies recorded in the BVG census reporting, just seven examples have been placed at a higher tier. Bobby Orr's rookie card is extremely scarce and desirable, and it's among the most widely sought-after of all hockey cards from any era. The collectible pictures a very young Bobby Orr, who had not even played a game in the NHL at the time the piece was issued. Orr went on to become, without question, the greatest defenseman in the history of hockey. This example of Orr's rookie card displays pack-fresh attributes. All four of its corners are sharp, and there is no chipping or wear on the wood-colored borders. The card's original gloss is bright and unbroken. An essentially untouched specimen of a tough-to-find Hall of Fame rookie card, in crisp Near Mint to Mint-plus condition.
