Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, known then as Lew Alcindor, was presented with this Los Angeles Basketball Classic All-Tournament award for his play during the 1966 edition of the Southern California holiday tournament. Abdul-Jabbar led UCLA to a 3-0 record in this tournament, defeating Wisconsin and Georgia Tech before laying the hurt on crosstown rivals USC in the tournament’s final. This offered trophy measures 18.5 inches tall and stands on a 4 x 6-inch base. Two basketball player statuettes adorn this trophy, as well as a gold torch and Los Angeles Basketball Classic logo. A plaque on the base reads “All Tournament Player / 1966”. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
