Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s sophomore season at UCLA was one of the finest NCAA basketball campaigns in history. The New York native averaged 26.2 points and 16.5 rebounds per game, leading the Bruins to a 29-1 record, capped off with their second of three consecutive NCAA titles with Abdul-Jabbar occupying the low post. Abdul-Jabbar received a litany of personal recognition after the 1967-68 season, including the Helms Player of the Year award. Offered here is the Converse Chuck Taylor All America Selection plaque awarded to Abdul-Jabbar, then known as Lew Alcindor, after the 1967-68 season. This plaque measures 13 x 10 inches and comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
