Former Major Leaguer Jay Johnstone wore this California Angels’ road jersey during the 1967 season. Johnstone, in his second season, played in 79 games for the Halos. This gray flannel jersey is a size 42 button-down with “ANGELS” sewn on the front in Tuscan font navy felt on red tackle twill. The Tim McAuliffe Inc tag, along with a green “‘67” and “42” tags, along with a gray patch that reads “Johnstone” in orange, are sewn on the base of the left front tail. The back of the jersey has Johnstone’s number “10” sewn on with navy felt on red tackle twill. The collar and sleeve have red/navy/red piping stripes. This jersey displays moderate to heavy use with puckering on the red tackle twill on the front and loose tackle twill stitching on the back. Johnstone has signed his name in black marker on the front and inscribed “10” and “GAME USED”. This jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (316407) for the game use and has been given a very high grade of A9. Additionally, there is a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature and inscription.
