For 23 years the Baltimore Orioles never had to worry about third base, as in that spot resided Brooks Robinson, the best in the game. 1970, the year Brooks was swinging this bat, proved to be Baltimore's finest season, sweeping to the World Series and bringing home the trophy. Robinson hit .276 down the line with 18 homers and won the Series MVP Award after downing the Reds in five games. Brooks’ Adirondack 307B model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent use. Several ball marks with stitch impressions can be seen on the right, left and back barrel. There are cleat imprints visible along with green and blue bat rack paint streaks. The model number “307B” is stamped into the knob and the weight “33 1/2” is written in pencil. “BR” is hand written on the knob in faded marker and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel with “Game Used 1970” in blue marker. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16067) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9, plus a COA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
