For a short period, plastic coins adorned with the portraits of athletes was the fad of choice among a healthy percentage of young sports collectors. Extensive productions featuring baseball, football and hockey players were produced by a small number of enterprising companies in the United States and Canada to enhance the desirability of their products. Here offered is the last year of the hockey series.
