Former New York Mets center fielder Tommie Agee is remembered today for two of the most phenomenal catches in World Series history. But Tommie Agee was also known for his clutch hitting which was exactly what the Amazin' Mets needed to win the 1969 pennant and World Series. This Adirondack bat dates from 1968-1970, the seasons in which the Mets stole the title of "New York's Team" from the Yankees. The Adirondack 280A model bat shows excellent use with a repaired handle crack. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are on the barrel along with cleat imprints. A heavy coat of pine tar is found on the lower handle and Agee’s number “20” is hand written on the knob in black marker. The bat comes with a full GU 8.5 graded LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06463) for the game use.
