Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this National Association of College Basketball Coaches of the United States All America selection plaque at the end of the 1967-68 NCAA basketball season. Abdul-Jabbar, then known as Lew Alcindor, led the Bruins of UCLA to their second of three straight NCAA titles, defeating the University of North Carolina 78-55 in the championship game. Abdul-Jabbar averaged 26.2 points and 16.5 rebounds per game for the Bruins, who finished the season 29-1 with a perfect 14-0 record in the Athletic Association of Western Universities. This offered plaque denotes the first, second, and third team selections to the NABC All-America teams. Numerous Hall of Famers, including Elvin Hayes, Wes Unseld, Pete Maravich, Jo Jo White, and Calvin Murphy are named on this plaque, with Hayes, Abdul-Jabbar, Maravich, Unseld, and Larry Miller comprising the first team. “Lew Alcindor” has been underlined in red marker. This plaque measures 20 x 14 inches. It comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
