Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bill White wore this gray Phillies road jersey during the 1968 MLB season, his final year with the Phillies and penultimate MLB campaign. White, an eight-time All-Star with the St. Louis Cardinals, hit .239 with nine homers and 40 RBI in 1968 as the primary first baseman in Connie Mack Stadium. The Florida native was one of the 1960’s most consistent hitters, four times hitting 20 or more homers with more than 100 RBI. White won seven Gold Gloves and finished his career with an exceptional .992 fielding percentage. In 1989, White was named president of the National League, serving in that capacity until 1994.

This button-down, gray flannel Philadelphia road uniform has “PHILLIES” sewn across the chest using red chenille stitching over white tackle twill. White’s number “10” is sewn on the back of the jersey in the same fashion. A swatch embroidered with “White” in black lettering is sewn on the back inside collar. A Wilson size “42” and Wilson “1968 Set 2” tags are sewn on the front left tail of this flannel jersey. The jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (315776), who have assigned it a grade of A7.
