New York Mets legend Cleon Jones wore this gray flannel Mets road jersey in the 1968 MLB season. Jones set a career-best mark with 14 home runs in the 1968 season, adding 55 RBI and 23 stolen bases with a .297 batting average for Gil Hodges’ Mets. Jones would go on to have the best season of his career in 1969, leading the Mets to their first-ever World Series title while hitting for a titanic .340 average.

This offered button-down Mets jersey has “NEW YORK” and Jones’ number “21” sewn on the chest in blue felt over orange tackle twill. A second “21” is sewn on the back of the jersey in a similar fashion. Please note both “21”’s have been professionally restored to match their original quality. Wilson “1968 Set 1” and Wilson size “42” tags are sewn on the front left tail. A “21-42-68-1” swatch is sewn on the back inside collar. A nearly-invisible team repair is present over the “1” digit on the front of the jersey. A Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. This sumptuous Cleon Jones jersey comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication.
