On May 3, 1968 at the Sheraton Park Hotel, the Lily of the Valley Chorus from the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church presented this Tribute Award to Basketball Hall of Famer Dave Bing. The award consists of amounted gold basketball set atop a 2-tiered wooden base measuring appx. 9X9X5. The entire piece measures 17” in height. The front of the base features a gold plaque engraved with “A Tribute Award to Dave Bing Sheraton Park Hotel May 3 1968 sponsored by Lily of the Valley Chorus New Mt. Olive Baptist Church.” The trophy is accompanied by a player LOA from Bing himself.
