Presented here are three copies of a memorandum from Marian Logan, the Assistant Secretary of the Board of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, to Martin Luther King Jr., the President of the SCLC. In this memorandum, Logan lays out ten critiques of the SCLC, although at the end of her writings she reaffirms her support for the SCLC, stating that she only desires to improve the organization.
This memorandum was sent on March 8th, 1968, a mere month before Dr. King was assassinated in Memphis. Three copies of this memorandum are included. Two are in excellent condition, while the third has a small stain on the front. This item comes with a LOA from University Archives.
