Presented here is a ticket to the San Francisco Giants 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 23rd, 1968 at Forbes Field. Juan Marichal took the hill for San Francisco, pitching a complete game and allowing only one run to push his season record to 14-2 and earn the 158th victory of his career. Willie McCovey provided all the offense the Giants needed, crushing a pair of solo homers off the Pirates Hall of Fame starter Jim Bunning. Marichal went 3-3 at the plate in this contest, while Matty Alou knocked in the only run of the game for the Pirates with an eighth inning RBI double.
