Graded NM 7 by PSA. Hall of Famer, in his debut-year appearance. This is a 1968 Topps "Rookie Stars" card, depicting the Reds' Johnny Bench and Ron Tompkins. Tompkins was fated to last only one year with the team, but Bench went on to spend his entire 17-year career behind the plate in Cincinnati. He was named the National League MVP in 1970 and 1972, and was enshrined at Cooperstown (as predicted by Ted Williams in 1965) in 1989. A clean and well-centered, barely circulated example of Bench's first gum card, in Near Mint condition.
