At age 34, most players would be slowing down, especially entering their 15th season in Majors. But for Hall of Famer Roberto Clemente in 1969, he hit a resounding .345, was named the National League’s Player of the Month for July and led the league in triples with 12. Clemente would follow up the next two seasons with batting averages of .352 in 1970 and .341 in 1971.
This offered Hillerich & Bradsby G105M professional model bat was issued to Clemente during the 1969 through 1971 seasons. This bat does not display any game use and is un-cracked. The model number “G105M” is stamped into the knob end and Clemente’s immortal number “21” is hand written in black marker on the knob end and barrel end. There is a small mounting hole on the back barrel, perfect for displaying this beautiful bat. Clemente signed his name in black marker on the middle of the handle, which if displayed is level with the trademark and barrel stamp. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15218) who have authenticated that this bat was issued to Clemente during the referenced labeling period and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for his signature (A89217).
