Amos Otis, the speedy centerfielder, used this bat during the season in which he not only helped the Mets win their first World Championship in 1969, but also during his 1971 season when he was the AL’s stolen base leader. The Hillerich & Bradsby U1 model bat displays excellent use with a handle crack secured with masking tape. There are many ball marks and slight checking from repeated ball contact on the back barrel. Otis’ number “26” has been hand written on the knob in faded marker. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B16108) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8.5.
