Each item has been graded by PSA. Presented is a 99-card complete set of 1969/70 Topps basketball cards, accompanied by a 23-piece complete set of the issue's "Rulers" inserts. This highly-sought after release – with its oval-design that makes use of its oversized dimensions – features the first-year appearances of Lew Alcindor, Bill Bradley and John Havlicek, along with a host of other Hall of Famers. Due to the cards' size, they were difficult to store properly and are, therefore, tough to find in top shape. Highlights of this enviable assembly include: #'s 1 Chamberlain (PSA EX+ 5.5), 20 Havlicek (PSA NM 7), 25 Alcindor (PSA NM 7), 43 Bradley (PSA EX-MT+ 6.5), 90 West (PSA NM-MT 8) and 99 CL (PSA EX 5).
The complete, 23-piece set of "Rulers" stands as one of Topps' more unique insert editions. The series placed a spotlight on the height measurement of each player, along with a whimsical caricature likeness. This fragile issue is rarely offered as a complete set, and is highlighted by: #'s 2 West (PSA EX-MT 6), 9 Havlicek (PSA NM-MT 8), 10 Alcindor (PSA GD 2), 11 Chamberlain (PSA EX-MT 6), 12 Thurmond (PSA EX 5), 17 Frazier (PSA VG 3) and 24 Robertson (PSA GD 2). Each delicate paper item has three factory compacting-fold lines, as issued.
The cards are mostly EX to NM or finer with a few lesser; the majority of the "Rulers" grade EX or better.
