Encapsulated and graded NM 7 by BGS, with signature graded "10" by Beckett. Hall of Famer, in his Rookie Card appearance. An outstanding blue marker signature ("Abdul Jabbar") decorates the upper obverse of this otherwise unmarked, early career gum card picturing a young Lew Alcindor. Additionally, the star has used this "Tall Boy" card's generous vertical dimensions as a canvas to inscribe a list of milestone notations beneath his name scripting: "6x NBA Champ / 2X NBA Finals MVP / 3X NCAA Champ / 3X NCAA Finals MVP / 3X NCAA Player of Year / 6X NBA MVP." The 7-foot-2-inch center depicted on this vintage Topps card (and identified on the piece by his birth name) went on to rule the NBA for 20 seasons. This is a superbly attractive example of an especially desirable basketball signature. Near Mint condition.
