Bostonians will always remember Rico Petrocelli for the two home runs he belted in Game 6 of the 1967 World Series. The Red Sox infielder further endeared himself to Sox fans when he set the record for most home runs by a shortstop (40) in 1969 – the period this bat dates to. This bat was obtained by long time Red Sox employee, Mary Trank, giving it a solid provenance. The Hillerich & Bradsby U1 model bat is un-cracked and exhibits outstanding use with a nice pine tar application. Rico’s number “6” is hand-written on the knob in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14068) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU10.
