Hall of Famer Jerry Sloan spent 11 seasons in the NBA where he averaged 14 points per game. The small forward/shooting guard spent 10 of those seasons with the Chicago Bulls, where he appeared in two All-Star games, including a starter in the 1969 contest for the West squad. Sloan, of course, would go on to an equally impressive coaching career with the Utah Jazz. Sloan was the first Chicago Bulls player to have his number (4) retired. He won over 1,200 NBA games as a head coach. He holds the NBA record for most wins with the same franchise and has the longest head coaching tenure with the same team in League history.

Sloan wore this Wilson size 44 red knit jersey during the 1969 All-Star Game at The Convention Center in Louisville, Kentucky on January 28, 1969. Sloane was named the starter, along with Elgin Baylor, Lenny Wilkins, Elvin Hayes and Don Kojis. Sloan finished the game with four points as the East All-Stars defeated the West All-Stars 123-112.

This offered jersey features “WEST” and Sloan’s number “4” is sewn on the front in white tackle twill. The Wilson tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail. The back of the jersey has the number “4” sewn on in white tackle twill. The tank-top style jersey itself has thin shoulders and displays evidence of solid use. A very rare game used jersey from the early days of one of the NBA’s finest players and coaches. This jersey comes with a full LOA from Mears, who have graded this jersey a perfect A10. This item originally came in to the Hobby directly from Mr. Sloan.
