Riding the right arm of Tom Seaver, the New York Mets won an even 100 games during the 1969 regular season, first in the National League East. Seaver led the Majors with 25 wins to go along with his sparkling 2.21 ERA, on his way to winning the NL Cy Young Award. Offensively, Cleon Jones batted .340, while Tommie Agee led the team in home runs (26), RBIs (76) and runs scored (97). After sweeping the Atlanta Braves to win the NLCS, the Mets defeated the Baltimore Orioles, four games to one, to win the World Series.

Presented here is a Jostens 14K gold 1969 New York Mets World Series championship ladies ring presented to former Major Leaguer Nelson Burbrink. Burbrink played with the Cardinals as a player and would be a scout for the Cardinals, Mets and Brewers. This oval-shaped design features a single round diamond set on a blue colored stone. “NEW YORK METS WORLD CHAMPIONS 1969” reads around the bezel setting in relief work. Each shank features a “NY” logo design. “JOSTEN’S ©14K” is marked inside the band of this approximate size 8 ½ ring. This item weighs approximately 7.9 grams. This ring comes from the personal collection of former New York Mets’ scout and former Major Leaguer Nelson Burbrink and a LOA from the Burbrink Family will accompany this ring.
