The 1969 New York Yankees were a team in transition. Mickey Mantle had just retired, and the team struggled in the newly formed American League Eastern Division. However, 1969 saw the debut of future captain and Yankee legend Thurman Munson, who played his first ever game on August 8th. Offered here is an Official Pro League stamped ball that has been signed by 27 members of the 1969 New York Yankees. Thurman Munson’s rookie signature appears on the side panel in blue pen, along with the signatures of Dave McDonald, Horace Clarke, Jake Gibbs, Ron Woods and Al Downing. Other signatures include Steve Hamilton, Fritz Peterson, Gene Michael, Bill Robinson, Len Boehmer, Lindy McDaniel, Jack Aker, John Ellis, Bill Burbach, Tom Shopay, Ron Klimkowski and others. This ball is in excellent condition and comes with a LOA from JSA.  Please note that the signatures of Joe Pepitone and Mel Stottlemyre have been deemed clubhouse versions.
