The 1969 season was the last full season for the franchise at Forbes Field, as the vaunted Three Rivers Stadium would open during the middle of the 1970 season. This presented Official National League Warren Giles baseball is signed by 20 members of the 1969 team. The “SPALDING” trademark and “THE CUSHIONED CORK CENTER” are stamped in black on the west panel of the baseball. 20 signatures are found on this ball in black ink and include signatures from Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, and Bill Mazeroski. Other key signatures include those of Doc Ellis, Jose Martinez, Bo Belinsky, and Bob Veale. The signatures are faded, and the baseball contains black markings and early elements of toning and comes with an LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
