Hall of Famer and NBA all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this award for leading the NBA in scoring for the 1970-71 season and being the league’s MVP. Known then as Lew Alcindor, Kareem led the entire NBA in scoring 31.7 points per game, leading the Milwaukee Bucks to the franchise's only NBA title and earning him league MVP honors, the first of his six-career total.

This offered award has a 10 ¼ x 10 ¼ inch wood base and is 24 ½ inches tall. The two-tiered base has a gold plate on the top that reads “Lew Alcindor MILWAUKEE BUCKS” and the larger bottom-tier has a gold plate that reads “NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION 1970-71 MOST VALUABLE PLAYER SCORING CHAMPION 31.7 AVERAGE”. The top of the trophy has a long stem holding a chalice and figure on top with his arms in the air holding a laurel wreath. On the larger-tiered wood base are gold colored eagles on each corner with their wings outstretched. This trophy is in overall good condition and this item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
