Offered is a lot of 44 Major League Baseball ticket stubs from milestone games in the period 1970-1974. The first ticket stub in this lot is from July 20, 1970 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, when Dodgers pitcher Bill Singer threw a 5-0 no-hitter against the Philadelphia Phillies. The second ticket stub in this lot is from August 8, 1970 at Busch Memorial Stadium in St. Louis, when Cardinals pitcher Al Hrabosky picked up his second career win in an 11-10 victory over the Montreal Expos. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21477453) and is graded Authentic. The third ticket stub in this lot is from September 13, 1970 at Metropolitan Stadium in Minneapolis when the Chicago White Sox beat the Twins, 8-7. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21477326) and is graded Authentic. The fourth ticket stub in this lot is from June 28, 1970, when the Cleveland Indians beat the Detroit Tigers, 8-2 at Tigers Stadium in Detroit. Indians pitcher Sam McDowell picked up his 100th career victory. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22299347) and is graded Authentic.

The fifth ticket stub in this lot is from the August 26, 1970 Minnesota Twins 7-0 victory over the Boston Red Sox at Metropolitan Stadium. The Twins’ Tony Oliva hit his 41st triple of the season, and pitcher Bert Blyleven threw his first shutout en route to his eighth career win. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21461867) and is graded Authentic. The sixth ticket stub in this lot is from Anaheim Stadium, where on August 11, 1970 the Baltimore Orioles upended the California Angles, 7-0. Orioles third baseman Brooks Robinson hit career home run #208, while teammate Frank Robinson hit his career homer #469. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22299298) and is graded Authentic. The seventh ticket stub in this lot is from Shea Stadium in New York, a doubleheader on May 24, 1970 between the Mets and the Chicago Cubs. Game 1 went to the Cubs, 3-1, while Game 2 was a 3-1 Mets win and pitcher Nolan Ryan’s 15th career win. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21461947) and is graded Authentic. The eighth ticket stub in this lot is from June 14, 1970 at Metropolitan Stadium in Minneapolis, where the Twins took a 10-2 win over the Boston Red Sox. It was Twins’ pitcher Bert Blyleven’s second career win. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21461883) and is graded Authentic.

The ninth ticket stub in this lot is from June 27, 1970 when Blyleven collected his third career win and Tony Oliva hit his 141st career homer in a 9-1 Twins win over the Chicago White Sox at Comiskey Park. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (22027233)) and is graded Authentic. The 10th ticket stub in this lot is from September 9, 1970, a doubleheader at Comiskey Park in Chicago between the White Sox and the California Angels.  The White Sox took both, 11-4 in Game 1 and 5-1 in Game 2. Mickey Rivers got his first career hit in game 1. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21251556) and is graded Authentic. The 11th ticket stub in this lot is from April 30, 1970’s game at Metropolitan Stadium in Minneapolis, where Twins slugger Harmon Killebrew swatted career home run #450 in a 4-1 Twins win over the visiting Cleveland Indians. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21461886) and is graded Authentic. The 12th ticket stub in this lot is from the MLB debut of Chris Chambliss, May 28, 1971 at Comiskey Park in Chicago, a 4-0 Cleveland Indians win over the hometown White Sox. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21086944) and is graded Authentic.

The 13th ticket stub in this lot is from July 11, 1971, the MLB debut of pitcher Jon Matlack with the Mets in the second game of a double header with the Cincinnati Reds. He pitched seven innings and left the game with a 3–2 lead, but the Reds won, 5-3; they won the first game, 7-2. Matlack would win the NL Rookie of the Year honors at seasons’ end. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (24003991) and is graded Authentic. The 14th ticket stub in this lot is from the Minnesota Twins 10-7 win against the New York Yankees at Metropolitan Stadium on August 1, 1971. The Yankees’ Thurman Munson hit career homer #14, while Bobby Murcer hit career home run #70. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21477330) and is graded Authentic. The 15th ticket stub in this lot is dated August 8, 1971, from Chicago’s Wrigley Field, where the Cubs and the San Francisco Giants split a doubleheader. In game 1, San Francisco’s Gaylord Perry pitched an 11-inning complete game and hit a home run. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20943266) and is graded Authentic. The 16th ticket stub in this lot is from August 13, 1971 when the Baltimore Orioles’ Frank Robinson hit career home run #494, passing Lou Gehrig on the all-time list as the O’s beat the White Sox 12-1 at Chicago’s Comiskey Park. The 17th ticket stub in this lot is from September 12, 1971 when the New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 3-2 at Shea Stadium. Greg Luzinski hit his second career home run in this game. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21181793) and is graded Authentic. The 18th ticket stub in this lot is from a September 15, 1971 doubleheader at Shea Stadium. The Cubs took two, 6-2 and 3-2. John Milner made his MLB debut. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21086927) and is graded Authentic. The 19th ticket stub in this lot is from September 26, 1971 at Riverfront Stadium, when the San Francisco Giants beat the Cincinnati Reds, 12-5. The game was pitcher Juan Marichal’s 220th career win, and Willie Mays hit his 646th career home run. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21567430) and is graded Authentic. The 20th ticket stub in this lot is also from the September 26, 1971 Giants at Reds contest. Also, of note in this game is Pete Rose’s 103rd career home run. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21378142) and is graded Authentic.

The 21st ticket stub in this lot is from Ernie Banks final game in his Hall of Fame career, on September 26, 1971 at Wrigley Field. The Phillies won, 5-1 over the Cubs. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20943071) and is graded VG 3. The 22nd ticket stub in this lot is from September 30, 1971 at Shea Stadium.  The Mets beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 6-1 in what would turn out to be New York manager Gil Hodges last game, and the last game where pitcher Nolan Ryan was in a Mets uniform. Tom Seaver picked up career win #95. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21384790) and is graded Authentic. The 23rd ticket stub in this lot is from September 17, 1972 at Yankee Stadium, Yankees 2, Orioles 1.  New York pitcher Fritz Peterson picked up his 100th career win. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21087020) and is graded Authentic. The 24th ticket stub in this lot is from a doubleheader at Shea Stadium on April 23, 1972, as soon-to-be Rookie of the Year Jon Matlack won his first career game over the visiting Chicago Cubs in Game 1, 8-2.  The Mets also beat the Cubs in Game 2, 7-6 in 12 innings. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20943043) and is graded VG-EX 4.

The 25th ticket stub in this lot is from May 23, 1972, when the Atlanta Braves beat the Cincinnati Reds, 2-1 at Riverfront Stadium. Braves pitcher Phil Niekro gained his 87th career victory. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (25293066) and is graded Authentic. The 26th ticket stub in this lot is from June 4, 1972 when Oakland Athletics pitcher Jim “Catfish” Hunter picked up his 100th career win in Game 1 of a doubleheader at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. The A’s beat the O’s, 2-0 in the first game, and again in the nightcap, 2-0. Sal Bando hit career home run #86 in game 1 as well. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (21378201) and is graded Authentic. The 27th ticket stub in this lot is from July 10, 1972 at Shea Stadium, San Francisco Giants 5, New York Mets 4. Willie McCovey hit career home run #375. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (25293065) and is graded Authentic. The 28th ticket stub in this lot is from September 16, 1972 at Wrigley Field, when Billy Williams hit career homer #350 en route to a 18-5 Cubs win over the Mets. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (20943051) and is graded Authentic.

The 29th ticket stub in this lot is from Opening Day, April 6, 1973 at Fenway Park, where the Red Sox beat the Yankees, 16-5. This was Ron Blomberg’s debut as the first Designated Hitter in MLB history. Carl Yastrzemski hit career home run #270. The 30th ticket stub in this lot is from Bucky Dent’s MLB debut on June 1, 1973 when the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago White Sox, 5-3 at Milwaukee County Stadium. George “Boomer” Scott hit his 130th career home run in this contest. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (26137636) and is graded Authentic. The 32nd ticket stub in this lot is from June 8, 1973 at Shea Stadium, when the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Mets, 5-3, and Tommy John beat Tom Seaver on the mound. The 37th ticket stub in this lot is from September 11, 1973, with the Cincinnati Reds beating the Los Angeles Dodgers, 6-3 at Riverfront Stadium. Ken Griffey Sr. hit career home run #2.
