Oakland Athletics infielder Dick Green wore this gray flannel A’s road vest during the 1970 MLB season, his eighth year with the A’s. Green was the primary second baseman for the A’s in 1970, leading them to 89 victories in a precursor to their coming three-peat of World Series titles from 1972 to 1974. This vest has “A’s” and Green’s number “1” sewn on the chest of the vest in green and gold tackle twill. “GREEN” is sewn across the back shoulders in restored green tackle twill. His number “1” is sewn below in green and gold tackle twill. Please note that the “A’s” on the chest has been restored. McAuliffe, “70”, and size “44” tags are sewn on the front left tail. “E. MOORE” is written on the back inside collar in black marker, indicating that this jersey was recycled for use in the minor leagues, likely by Edward Moore in 1974. This jersey shows moderate wear and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
