Gene Tenace wore this gray flannel Oakland Athletics road vest during the 1970 MLB season. Tenace, in his sophomore campaign, appeared in only 38 games in 1970, but made a splash with a .305/7/20 stat line in his limited appearances. This gray vest has “A’s” and Tenace’s number “38” sewn on the chest in green and gold tackle twill. “TENACE” is sewn across the back shoulders in green tackle twill that has since been restored. His number “38” is also sewn on the back, in green and gold tackle twill. McAuliffe, “70”, and size “42” tags are sewn on the front left tail. This jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS, who have graded it a sturdy A7.
