Offered is an incredibly rare jersey worn by the younger brother of Hall of Famer and home run king Hank Aaron, the late Tommie Aaron. Aaron spent seven seasons in the Major League, all with the Braves organization both in Milwaukee and Atlanta. The Aaron brothers have combined for the most home runs between two brothers. Sadly, Tommie Aaron passed away in 1984 from leukemia.
Tommie wore this off-white flannel pinstripe jersey during the 1970, his second-to-last in the Majors. “Braves” is sewn on across the button-down front in navy blue script. The Wilson size 42 tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail and the team strip tag is sewn on inside back collar that has embroidered in navy blue “T Aaron 1970 – Set 1”. The back of the jersey has Aaron’s number “18” sewn on in navy blue tackle twill and the left sleeve has the “Screaming Indian” patch sewn on. The underarms have built in holes for ventilation and this jersey displays light use with a stain on the back left shoulder. This jersey comes with a LOA from Mears, who have graded this jersey a near perfect A9.5.
