Former NHL goalie and Hall of Famer Eddie Giacomin played the majority of his career with the New York Rangers, where he was an All-Star for five seasons and was the 1970-71 Vezina Trophy winner as the NHL’s top goalie. Offered here are pair of game use items from the 1970’s used and signed by Eddie Giacomin. The first item is a brown goalie glove made by Spalding. The glove is for the left hand and has a wrist guard and designed similar to a modern-day first baseman’s glove with the rounded outer edge. The webbing is fully covered in brown leather and Giacomin has signed his name in black marker on the outer wrist and inscribed “H.O.F. 87” and “G.U. Late 70’s”. This comes with a LOA from MEARS for the game use and a COA from JSA (FF91953) for the signature. The next set of items in this lot are a pair of black skate guards. These guards were made by ICM and Giacomin has signed one of them in silver marker, adding inscriptions “H.O.F. 87” on one sided and “G.U. Late 70’s” on the other. This comes with a COA from JSA (FF91954) for the signature.
