Former catcher and first baseman Gene Tenace used this Adirondack 234A model bat during the 1971 season, his third year with the Oakland A’s. This bat displays outstanding game use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat imprints on the barrel and there is some chipping to the foil stamping on the center brand. The model number “234A” is stamped on the knob and Tenace’s number “38” is hand written in black marker on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B01980) and has been graded a solid GU 8.
