Two-time AFL All-Star running back Hoyle Granger wore this white New Orleans Saints jersey during the 1971 NFL season. Granger, a 1,000-yard rusher in 1967 for the Houston Oilers, backed up Jim Strong and Bob Gresham in his only season with New Orleans, rushing 32 times for 139 yards and a touchdown. The former Mississippi State tailback, named the best athlete in the history of Allen Parish, finished his career back with the Oilers in 1972.
This offered Saints jersey is white, with “GRANGER” sewn across the back shoulders in black tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. Granger’s number “40” is sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in black and gold tackle twill. A Saints Sand-Knit tag and a Sand-Knit size “42” tags are sewn on the front left tail. This historic jersey shows solid use and comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the game use.
