Presented here is a pass to Three Rivers Stadium for the 1972 National League Championship Series between the Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds. The two games of the 1972 NLCS at Three Rivers were Roberto Clemente’s final games at his home field, as the 38-year old future Hall of Famer perished on New Year’s Eve while attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua. Games 1 and 2 of the NLCS took place at Three Rivers, with the Pirates earning a 5-1 victory in Game 1 and the Reds emerging 5-3 victors. Cincinnati would win the series in five games before falling to the Oakland Athletics in the World Series. This pass has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (23421874).
