No one knew it at the time, but Game 2 of the 1972 National League Championship Series would be Roberto Clemente’s final home game with the Pittsburgh Pirates before his tragic and untimely death on New Years Eve of that same year. The Pirates were defeated by the Cincinnati Reds 5-3 in Game 2, with Clemente finishing hitless yet still notching an RBI and drawing a free pass to first. The Pirates were defeated by the Reds in this five-game series that took all five contests to decide the National League pennant winner. This ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded an EX 5 by PSA (18571213).
