Perhaps no catcher in the history of the game had better credentials meriting enshrinement in the Hall of Fame than Yogi Berra. An 18-time All-Star, Berra won a dazzling three MVP Awards playing on 10 World Championship clubs. His career batting average of .285 and 358 home runs were augmented by his leadership behind the plate for a Yankees club that won 14 American League pennants. He followed that up by managing the Yankees to a pennant in 1964 and then guiding the Mets to a 1973 World Series appearance.

This is the plaque presented to the Yankees legend upon his enshrinement in Cooperstown. A photographic reproduction of Berra’s plaque has been matted and framed to 9 5/8 x 11 5/8 inches. The leatherette matte has “NATIONAL BASEBALL HALL OF FAME” in embossed golden letters at the bottom. The wooden frame has some surface wear and dings, which in this case actually add to rather than take away from its attractiveness. The back has a hinged device which enables it to be table mounted. The item originated from the Yogi Berra Estate Collection and comes with a signed LOA from the Berra family
