When Hall of Famer Joe Morgan joined the Cincinnati Reds in 1972, the second baseman became the final piston in the Big Red Machine that won back-to-back World Championships. Morgan drove in Ken Griffey, Sr. to win the 7th and deciding game of the 1975 World Series, was selected to play second base for eight consecutive All-Star Games and was the National League MVP in 1975 and 1976. Morgan’s 1973-75 Hillerich & Bradsby S44 model bat shows light game use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks and red and blue bat rack streaks present on the barrel. The bat’s model number “S44” is stamped on the knob and Morgan’s number “8” is handwritten on the knob in faded felt tip pen. The late Hall of Famer has signed his name in bold black marker on the barrel, completing this gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B28470) for the game use.
