As elite ring collectors are well aware, player examples from the 1972-73 Dolphins dynasty never show up on the auction block. NEVER. Just scan auction records from the past 15 years to see that: 1) Fewer than a handful of even front-office/staff rings have been made publicly available; 2) The one-and-only '73 staff ring at auction (April 2003) was actually a duplicate copy rather than an original; and 3) Not a single '72 or '73 player ring has ever surfaced...until now.

So it is with great pride that we present Bob Heinz's flawless Near Mint showpiece, crowned by two large diamonds representing Miami's back-to-back Super Bowl wins. The Jostens 10K-gold, size 12-1/2 ring also features a stunning enamel Dolphins logo; the Lombardi Trophy; Heinz's name and uniform number (which just so happens to be 72—like their undefeated season); and "Bob Heinz" elegantly engraved inside the band. Accompanied by Heinz's 2015 signed LOA reading, "I, Bob Heinz, played for the Miami Dolphins from 1969 to 1977, and was a member of the famous 'No Name Defense' for the Dolphins, finishing my career with the Washington Redskins in 1978. At 6'6", I quickly became a starter for the Dolphins at defensive tackle, playing in 3 straight Super Bowls for Miami (1971, 72 & 73)! I played in a total of 109 games for the Dolphins, starting in 13 of the 14 games for them in the 1973 season, during our second consecutive NFL championship run. Our defense continued to dominate the NFL, as we led the entire National Football League with only 150 total points allowed (just 10.8 per game) in '73, with an amazing NFL low, allowing only 5 touchdown passes by opponents! This gorgeous 1973 Miami Dolphins Super Bowl VIII Championship Ring was presented to me in 1974, during our awards ceremony, and has hardly been worn by me, in my possession all these years. It's all original, made by Jostens & the only one issued to me by the Miami Dolphins from our 'Back-to-Back' championship season!"
