Oakland Athletics third baseman Sal Bando wore this yellow A’s alternate jersey during the 1973 MLB season. Bando had a career year in 1973, hitting .287 with 29 homers and 98 RBI. Bando, an All-Star, led the American league in doubles (32) and total bases (295) while leading the A’s to their second of three consecutive World Series titles with a seven-game defeat of the New York Mets. Bando anchored the A’s infield for 11 seasons, both in Oakland and Kansas City, while making four All-Star teams and winning three World Series in the green and gold.

This offered A’s jersey is a yellow pullover, with “A’s” sewn on the left chest in green and white tackle twill. “BANDO” is sewn across the back shoulders in green tackle twill, while his number “6” is sewn on the back of the jersey in green and white tackle twill. Green and yellow stripes accent the sleeves and the collar features a green-white-green band. McAuliffe, “1973”, and size “44” tags are sewn on the inside front tail, while a washing instructions tag is also sewn inside the vibrant yellow jersey. This item comes with a LOA from MEARS (314787), who have assigned the jersey a perfect grade of A10.
