The 1974-75 Philadelphia Flyers, fresh off their first ever Stanley Cup-winning campaign, dominated the NHL, finishing with 113 points and earning home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. The Flyers, in the middle of their “Broad Street Bullies” heyday, stormed through the playoffs, setting up a matchup against fellow expansion team Buffalo in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Flyers won the Finals in six games, capped off with a 2-0 shutout of the Sabres at The Aud in Buffalo.
The offered Clarence S. Campbell Bowl trophy was presented to Orest Kindrachuk, a two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Flyers. Kindrachuk was one of the premier defensive centers of his era, although he complemented his hard-nosed play with a deft scoring touch, notching 75 points during the 1975-76 season. This stunning trophy measures approximately 11 inches high, features a removable lid, and is attached to a wooden base. “Clarence S. Campbell Bowl / 1968” is etched on one side of the trophy, and “Philadelphia Flyers / 1974-75 / Orest Kindrachuk” is etched on the other. Two handles jut out from the sides of this fantastic piece of hockey history. It is in very good condition, with only minor evidence of tarnishing and wear. This item comes with a LOA from Orest Kindrachuk.
