For the second straight season, the Tulsa Oilers won the American Association championship. Winners of the Western Division with a regular season record of 74-58, the AAA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals boasted future star and MVP Keith Hernandez, along with pitchers Bob Forsch and John Denny. Hernandez hit .351 with a .555 slugging percentage while Denny went 9-8 with a 3.75 ERA. The Oilers went on to beat the Indianapolis Indians in seven games to win the league championship.

Offered is this championship ring presented to player Marc Hill. Hill played in 96 games for Tulsa in 1974 and had a solid .278 batting average with 14 home runs. “TULSA OILERS” surrounds the top of this ring which has a a 13-point diamond in the middle. One shank has in raised relief “AMERICAN ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONS 1974” with criss-crossed bats and a baseball. The opposite shank shows a batter in a swing follow through with a banner on the left that reads “MK HILL”. This ring weighs approximately 17.4 grams and is an approximate size 11 ½. Stamped on the inside band is “JONSIL 10K”. This ring comes with a custom ring box and a LOA from Marc Hill, attesting that this was his original ring presented to him.
